Cristian Petrescu: Hoteliers on the coast lost tourists

Cristian Petrescu: Hoteliers lose the seaside tourists will not offer all inclusive packages * bad image of Romania brings benefits - go pleasantly surprised tourists

The seaside hotel owners earn more from selling food if not all-inclusive packages, although this system would bring more tourists, said Minister of Regional Development and Tourism, Cristian Petrescu Thursday at ITB Berlin Tourism Fair, according to Tuesday.

"I think that obviously loose and lost tourists, but if he agrees to take such hotels without all inclusive, and their calculations show that it deserves, a dancer's business. Those who should provide these all-inclusive packages have other interests. Perhaps not so profitable for them as if they sell separate tables, "said Cristian Petrescu.

Tourism Minister also said that hoteliers should understand that less profit from more people can equal more revenue from fewer tourists.

"We are going at their discretion, are private and we can not require you to make these packages, in addition to a recommendation that would be better to do, to enter other markets," added the Minister.
Minister of Regional Development and Tourism has approached the problem of negative image that Romania is among foreign tourists adding that this has some benefits. The minister said foreign tourists come with very low expectations in Romania and leave pleasantly surprised.

"From the discussions we had with German tour operators not reproach us too much. Most tourists who come to Romania by these tour operators [...] leave with the feeling that they found something else than what they expected because they have very low expectations and that things are in Romania are different from the expected them, "said Cristian Petrescu.

The Minister added that foreigners are happy with what found in Romania. "The fact that when you return from Romania have the feeling that you get more than what you expect I think it's a good thing and that we can build a lot further," said Petrescu.
